Whereas the speculations proceed if the continuing Indian Premier League season is the final for MS Dhoni, former England captain Kevin Pietersen believes in any other case.
In his current column for Betway, Pietersen has acknowledged that he’ll be extraordinarily shocked if IPL 2023 is the final aggressive cricket match of the Chennai Tremendous Kings skipper.
“I used to be there for Dhoni’s lap of honour on Sunday, and it was unimaginable to see how the stadium stayed utterly full. I’d be extraordinarily shocked if that is his final season. I feel this influence participant rule really helps him tremendously, the place he can maintain for 20 overs and bat wherever he needs to bat,” Pietersen wrote in his column.
“He makes the staff higher with the choices he makes as a captain, and his maintaining has been great. It’s not like he takes a batting place up, as a result of he tends to come back in at seven, eight or 9 to whack a couple of deliveries. He’ll have the chance for eight or 9 months of relaxation, type his knee out, and get himself match and prepared for one more season. I hope it’s not the final we see of Dhoni, and I do know all people within the nation would need him to play one other season,” he added.
On Sunday, Dhoni would lead a lap of honour on the MA Chidamabaram Stadium in Chennai’s closing residence sport.
Standing alongside Pietersen publish match, Sunil Gavaskar would run in direction of Dhoni and ask for an autograph.
“Once I obtained to learn about Chennai Super Kings and MS Dhoni are going to take a lap of honour at Chepauk, I made a decision to create a particular reminiscence,” Gavaskar instructed Star Sports activities.
“That’s why I ran in direction of MSD to take his autograph. It was his final residence sport at Chepauk. In fact, he’ll get an opportunity to play right here if CSK qualifies for the playoffs. However I made a decision to make that second particular,” he added.
