Russian President Vladimir Putin, on Saturday, vowed to crush what he referred to as an armed mutiny after the personal military of mercenary boss Yevgeny Prigozhin seized management of two cities, Rostov-on-Don and Voronezh, to oust the navy management.

In his tackle to the nation, Putin referred to as the armed mutiny by Wagner mercenaries a ‘stab within the again’ and stated that the group’s chief, Prigozhin, had ‘betrayed’ Russia.
“It is a stab within the again to our nation, to our nation… What now we have been confronted with is precisely betrayal. Extravagant ambitions and private pursuits led to treason,” he stated.
