Moscow [Russia], Oct 11 (ANI): Alexei Leonov, a Soviet-era cosmonaut who was the primary individual to carry out a spacewalk again in 1965, has died in Moscow on the age of 85, Russian house company Roscosmos Area Company introduced on Friday.
Leonov carried out his spacewalk on March 18, 1965, when he spent 12 minutes outdoors the Voskhod 2 capsule.
On his second journey in house in 1975, Leonov met with US astronauts in house and gave TV viewers excursions of their respective crafts. That mission is credited with kick-starting the worldwide cooperation aboard the Worldwide Area Station, reported CNN.
Leonov’s funeral might be held on Tuesday at a army memorial cemetery outdoors Moscow, Roscosmos stated. (ANI)
