New Delhi [India], Oct 5 (ANI): Indian hockey staff on Saturday returned to the nation after a profitable tour of Belgium.
The staff gained all their 5 matches through the tour, two towards Spain and three towards Belgium. The tour commenced on September 26 and concluded on October 3.
Within the opening match, they secured 2-Zero win over Belgium adopted by 1-6 and 1-5 victory over Spain within the subsequent two clashes. India then went on to win the ultimate two matches towards Belgium.
India coach Graham Reid referred to as it a ‘good preparation’ for the upcoming Olympic qualifiers.
“It was good preparation as Olympic qualifiers are coming in 4 weeks time. So, it was fairly ideally suited preparation to play towards Belgium and Spain,” Reid informed ANI.
The captain of the staff, Manpreet Singh, stated the wins boosted their confidence.
“We performed towards Belgium and Spain and gained. Our confidence degree is up. It should assist in the qualifying rounds. Everybody’s efficiency was good through the tour they usually gave their finest. We’ll now concentrate on the qualifying rounds,” Singh stated. (ANI)
