Liverpool [UK], Oct 17 (ANI): Liverpool’s James Milner means to take penalties has earned him reward from former footballer and teammate Emile Heskey.
Heskey and Milner have been teammates at Aston Villa, the place Milner was the penalty taker.
“He was our penalty taker at Villa. He is so good at them due to follow,” Liverpool’s official web site quoted Heskey as saying.
“He is aware of what he desires, he is aware of what he desires to do. He is so calm and assured with it. Nothing fazes him. You see him coaching [on them] throughout coaching and after coaching. That sums up James Milner,” he added.
Liverpool managed to defeat Leicester Metropolis by 2-1 after Milner transformed a penalty within the 90+fifth minute on October 5.
Milner, 41, at present has the fifth-most all-time Premier League appearances and Heskey feels that the 33-year-old has developed brilliantly.
“To play so many video games from such a younger age, and to evolve as he has, has been unbelievable. Once I first acquired to Villa he was a winger and developed right into a central midfielder and now’s an all-round participant,” Heskey stated. (ANI)
