Chandigarh: 

A painter from a village in Himachal Pradesh’s Una district hit the jackpot, successful Rs 2.5 crore lottery prize.

The Punjab State Maa Lakshmi Diwali-Pooja Bumper-2019 modified the lifetime of Sanjeev Kumar, a resident of Chururu village in Una district.

The daddy of two, Mr Kumar mentioned he works as a painter, plumber and electrician.

He mentioned he purchased two tickets for Rs 1,000 from a lottery stall close to Nangal bus stand whereas he was getting back from PGIMER, Chandigarh. One of many tickets gained the jackpot value, he mentioned.

The only real bread winner in his household, Mr Kumar is hopeful that the prize cash would eradicate his monetary issues, an official assertion quoting him mentioned on Sunday.

Speaking about his future plans, the fortunate winner mentioned he would use the cash to fund the research of his two kids.

Mr Kumar has submitted the paperwork with Punjab State Lotteries Division of the state authorities to assert the prize cash. The Lotteries Division officers assured him they may launch the prize cash on the earliest, based on the assertion.

The draw of the lottery was held in Ludhiana on November 1.
