New Delhi (India), Oct 12 (ANI): Priyanka Chopra and Farhan Akhtar starrer ‘The Sky is Pink’ which hit theatres on Friday, opened to lukewarm response.

The movie managed to garner Rs. 2.50 crore on its first day. However it’s dealing with stiff competitors from final week’s releases ‘Warfare’ and ‘Joker’, based on Field Workplace India.

Shonali Bose’s directorial is an unbelievable love story of a pair spanning 25 years which is narrated by their teenage daughter – Aisha (Zaira Wasim). Aisha turns into a motivational speaker after being identified with pulmonary fibrosis.

The movie was screened on the 2019 Toronto Movie Pageant on September 13 and was attended by the whole solid and crew excluding Zaira Wasim.

‘The Sky is Pink’ marks the Bollywood comeback of Priyanka after a hiatus of just about three years. It’s co-produced by Priyanka, Ronnie Screwvala and Siddharth Roy Kapur.

Priyanka was seen within the Hollywood movie ‘Is not It Romantic’, starring Insurgent Wilson, Liam Hemsworth, and Adam DeVine. Farhan, however, is presently prepping for Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s ‘Toofan’, by which he will probably be essaying the function of a boxer. (ANI)
