The astronauts from NASA’s Artemis II mission have been rescued from their capsule once they splashed down on Earth after finishing their mission of flying across the Moon.
In a video from Proper Facet Broadcasting Community (RSBN) that was posted to X, astronauts Victor Glover, Reid Wiseman, Christina Koch, and Canadian Area Company astronaut Jeremy Hansen have been seen exiting the capsule one after the other onto lifeboats.
NASA was reported to be planning to “extract the astronauts from the Orion spacecraft,” after which they might be flown “by way of helicopter to a U.S. Navy ship,” NBC Information reported.
After being rescued from the capsule, the astronauts have been reported to be “onboard the USS John P. Murtha,” in line with the outlet.
“All 4 of the Artemis II astronauts have been efficiently extracted from the Orion spacecraft following splashdown and at the moment are on the USS John P. Murtha,” NASA confirmed in a put up on X. “Subsequent up, they are going to be escorted to the medical bay the place they’ll bear post-mission medical evaluations.”
Breitbart Information’s Amy Furr reported that the astronauts splashed down within the Pacific Ocean and that the “Orion capsule dropped into the water after its parachutes deployed”:

In a put up on Reality Social, President Donald Trump congratulated the astronauts on their mission, stating that the “whole journey was spectacular, and the touchdown was excellent.”
“Congratulations to the Nice and Very Gifted Crew of Artemis II,” Trump stated. “The whole journey was spectacular, the touchdown was excellent and, as President of the USA, I couldn’t be extra proud! I look ahead to seeing you all on the White Home quickly. We’ll be doing it once more after which, subsequent step, Mars!”
