A Louisiana man who pleaded responsible to raping and impregnating his 12-year-old relative is an unlawful immigrant from Honduras, federal officers confirmed to Fox Information on Wednesday.
Jose Lopez-Montoya, 41, described by native media as a “Lake Charles man,” faces as much as 99 years in jail after repeatedly abusing the minor.
The Division of Homeland Safety informed Fox Information that Lopez-Montoya is a Honduran nationwide who illegally entered the U.S. in 2011 below the Obama administration.

The sufferer later gave delivery in July 2024 and Lopez-Montoya admitted the kid was his, in line with KPLC.
Authorities stated the abuse occurred over a two-year interval whereas Lopez-Montoya served because the woman’s guardian.

Lopez-Montoya was arrested on two counts of first-degree rape and can also be topic to an immigration detainer.
He pleaded responsible this week to aggravated crimes in opposition to nature by incest and faces 25 to 99 years in jail, in line with KPLC.
His sentencing is scheduled for April 28.
