The Hispano Suiza Carmen Sagrera is an electric supercar boasting 1100 horsepower from its rear-drive quad-motor setup. Designed with a focus on track performance, it’s equipped with the necessary cooling and braking systems for hot laps. Its interior, crafted by Italdesign, presents a more refined atmosphere compared to previous models.
Revived a few years back, the Hispano Suiza brand introduced its first modern car, the Hispano Suiza Carmen Boulogne, in 2021, priced at €1.5 million (nearly $2 million U.S.). Now, celebrating the 120th anniversary of the Spanish brand, comes the Carmen Sagrera, commanding an even higher price tag. While maintaining its carbon fiber monocoque and bodywork, the Sagrera features an upgraded 103.0 kWh battery pack, shedding weight and improving weight distribution.
Powered by four 275-hp electric motors driving the rear wheels, the Sagrera boasts 1100 horsepower and 855 pound-feet of torque, utilizing a “virtual differential” for torque management. With enhancements geared towards track performance, including a distinctive rear spoiler and improved cooling, the Sagrera aims to deliver a heightened driving experience. Inside, the cabin receives refinements overseen by Italdesign, offering a more polished feel.
Hispano Suiza reports strong interest in the U.S., with plans for a dealership in Miami, despite the car being drivable only under “Show and Display” regulations. With deliveries expected in around nine months and a price tag of €2.5 million (about $3.2 million USD) before taxes, the Carmen Sagrera represents a pinnacle of electric supercar engineering.
