A resurfaced clip of young Barron speaking with his mother, Melania Trump, and sharing his birthday wish before turning 3 has gone viral on social media. Some users on X are praising the future First Lady as an “amazing mom,” while others are commenting that “they raised him right.” The footage, filmed at a 2009 charity event hosted by Melania to raise funds for kids battling cancer, shows a camera following her and Barron, who was dressed sharply and seen playfully moving around.
The nearly two-minute video on X features Barron, wearing a fitted tan suit and a white scarf wrapped neatly around his neck, as Melania tenderly holds him at the event.
When a reporter asks Barron about his favorite toys, he responds, “I like to play drums.”
Melania cradles her only child in her arms and asks, “Do you want drums?”
She then quickly asks little Trump, “What will you have for your birthday?”
“I want drums like the ones on television,” he told his mother, gesturing off into the distance.
“Like on television? The big ones?” Melania asked, then told reporters that her son enjoys playing the drums and might receive a set of “big drums” as a gift.

Several videos of a younger Barron have been circulating on social media.
At a campaign rally in October, Trump told the crowd that Barron is intelligent, saying, “This kid’s a genius, I’m telling ya, he’s a wise guy, smart one.” On the Joe Rogan podcast, Trump revealed that Barron has an IQ of 170.
