The Division of Homeland Safety is urging Wisconsin authorities to not launch a Nicaraguan nationwide who was arrested after being accused of sexually assaulting an aged sufferer, in accordance with an announcement Wednesday.
Julio Cesar Morales-Jarquin, 31, is in native police custody after being charged with two counts of second-degree sexual assault of an aged sufferer, DHS stated.
He was arrested final month after a residential care facility in Fitchburg, Wisconsin, reported to police that an worker could have assaulted weak residents, in accordance with native outlet WKOW.
Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) issued a detainer request on April 27 asking that Morales-Jarquin stay in custody.

DHS on Wednesday referred to as on Dane County officers to not launch Morales-Jarquin, accusing the county of being a “sanctuary jurisdiction” that refuses to honor ICE detainers.

In line with DHS, Morales-Jarquin entered america in 2023 underneath the Biden administration’s humanitarian parole program for Nicaragua. Though this system was later ended, DHS stated he remained within the nation unlawfully.
“This unlawful alien is charged with two counts of sexual assault of an aged sufferer at an assisted dwelling facility,” Performing Assistant Secretary Lauren Bis stated within the DHS assertion. “This dirtbag was launched into the nation by the Biden Administration. DHS is asking on sanctuary politicians in Dane County, Wisconsin to NOT launch this prison from jail again onto the streets to commit extra crimes.”
