A minimum of 800,000 individuals in Myanmar want emergency meals assist and different help after Cyclone Mocha slammed into the conflict-torn nation earlier this week, the United Nations stated Friday.

“The cyclone left a path of devastation throughout Myanmar’s Rakhine State, with homes flattened, roads minimize off by uprooted bushes, hospitals and colleges destroyed, and telecommunications and energy strains severely disrupted,” Anthea Webb, the UN World Meals Programme’s deputy regional director for Asia and the Pacific, instructed reporters in Geneva.

“There are not less than 800,000 individuals in pressing want of emergency meals help.”
