Australia In Talks With Japan, India On Quad Meet After Biden Cancels Visit

Australian PM Anthony Albanese was planning to host the 2023 Quad Summit in Sydney on Might 24.

Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese stated on Wednesday his authorities was in talks with the prime ministers of Japan and India after U.S. President Joe Biden postponed his journey to Australia to attend a Quad leaders’ assembly.

President Joe Biden has canceled the go to, the second leg of his upcoming Asia journey, because of the disaster constructing over the U.S. debt ceiling and can return to Washington following the G7 summit in Japan this week.

“The President and I agreed that we’d work to reschedule his go to to Australia on the earliest alternative,” Albanese stated in a press release.

Albanese was planning to host President Biden, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida in Sydney on Might 24.
