The Houston Humane Society and Texas Wildlife Rehabilitation Coalition introduced that the bats have been launched again to their colony beneath the town’s Waugh Drive bridge, the Guardian reported.
“Tons of” extra have been returned to a different colony, the group mentioned. This comes after 1,544 chilly chiropterans have been rescued in and round Houston in 7 days. The bat colony suffered “hypothermic shock”, the Houston Humane Society mentioned including that their physique temperatures plummeted and the bats “have been unable to carry on to their roost and fell 15 to 30ft onto the pavement”.
