India and Sri Lanka on Monday resumed flight services between Chennai and Jaffna, three years after the island nation discontinued the companies as a result of Covid pandemic.
The primary flight on resumption of companies landed this morning on the Jaffna Worldwide Airport, Upul Dharmadasa the Chairman of the Airport and Aviation Companies informed reporters.
Jaffna airport officers stated the Alliance Air service landed at Jaffna at 1125 am native time. A small ceremony was carried out to welcome the flight which had 14 chosen passengers, largely officers, on board.
The return to Chennai was scheduled for two.50 pm native time.
The Alliance Air flights would function 4 instances per week between the 2 cities.
