Iran warned off spy plane near Iranian war games in the Gulf, Fars reports

DUBAI, Dec 31 (Reuters) – Iran’s army launched a drone to warn off a reconnaissance airplane attempting to strategy Iranian battle video games on the Gulf coast, the semi-official Fars information company mentioned on Saturday.

The report didn’t specify the nationality of the reconnaissance plane, however Iranian forces have had repeated related confrontations with U.S. forces within the Gulf.

The U.S. State Division referred inquiries to the Pentagon, which declined to remark.
