Pakistan Man Kidnapped In Nepal, Held For Rs 25 Lakh Ransom; 3 Arrested

Kathmandu:

Nepal Police have arrested three Pakistani nationals for abducting a compatriot and holding him for ransom beneath the pretext of providing a profitable job in Canada.

These arrested from Thamel on Thursday, the industrial neighbour of Kathmandu, embody Pakistani nationals Mohamad Rasid, 30, Mohamad Asif, 35, and Mohamad Fida Hussain, 35, police mentioned.

Based on the police, the three kidnapped Mohamad Sami Khan, a Pakistani nationwide, beneath the pretext of providing him a profitable job in Canada.

They introduced Mohamad Sami Khan to Kathmandu from Pakistan, saying it was straightforward to get a job and an entry to Canada from Nepal, police mentioned.

They then held Mohamad Sami Khan as hostage in a lodge in Thamel and known as his brother in Pakistan and demanded a ransom of Rs 25 lakh in Nepali foreign money, they mentioned.

After receiving the ransom quantity, they left Mohamad Sami Khan in a taxi in Sinamangal, in Kathmandu on Tuesday, Deputy Superintendent of Police at Kathmandu Valley Felony Investigation Workplace mentioned.

The three have been arrested on Thursday from their rented lodging at Budhanilkantha, located round 10 km north of Kathmandu.
