Iran has launched a wave of missiles targeting central and northern Israel following Israeli military strikes on Iranian nuclear infrastructure, which were confirmed earlier by the IDF.
Israeli emergency services report that at least 10 people have been killed and over 100 injured in the Iranian attacks. Meanwhile, Iranian state media has made no mention of casualties resulting from the Israeli strikes.
U.S. President Donald Trump stated that the United States had no involvement in the latest Israeli attacks on Iran, though he added that a peace deal between the two nations could still be reached “easily.”
Iran’s oil ministry confirmed that the Shahran oil depot in Tehran was hit during the Israeli airstrikes.
In response, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has warned of a “more severe” retaliation if Israel fails to de-escalate.
The exchange of strikes comes just as diplomatic talks between Washington and Tehran on Iran’s nuclear program were scheduled to resume on Sunday. However, those talks have now been canceled, according to mediator Oman.
